Void is a self-hosted proxy for modded Minecraft Java Edition server networks. It connects backend servers, redirects players between them, and supports configurable network settings. Its published compatibility range covers Java Edition versions 1.7.2 through 26.1.2, with additional proxying listed for Java 1.0.0–1.7.1, Beta, Alpha, and Classic. That makes it a fit for operators supporting mixed-version Java networks rather than Bedrock, Windows 10 Edition, or Pocket Edition players.

Compatibility is one of Void’s defining strengths. The proxy supports None (Offline), Modern (Velocity), and Online (Private Key) forwarding modes, giving administrators different approaches to player information forwarding. Transfers between connected servers are supported, and the plugin API exposes commands, events, packets, and services. The documented feature set also includes built-in server, plugin, moderation, and logging commands, which gives network administrators tools for routine control alongside custom extension options.

Void is designed for operators who want control over deployment and operations. It supports Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, Alpine Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes environments, while watchdog health checks and scheduled restart support address ongoing server management. The trade-off is that deployment is self-hosted, so the operator remains responsible for the proxy environment and configuration. Legacy BungeeCord forwarding is documented as still in development, making Void a stronger choice for networks aligned with its supported forwarding modes than for networks dependent on that legacy mode. Choose it for broad-version Java proxying and container-friendly administration; choose an alternative if Bedrock support or implemented BungeeCord forwarding is required.
