Visual DB is a no-code platform for creating database-backed web applications, forms, spreadsheet-style sheets, reports, dashboards, and CRUD applications. It fits teams that need internal tools or data-driven apps without building a conventional frontend. The platform includes validation, conditional logic, related-record forms, role-based access control, CSV import and export, schema management, and a REST API for application artifacts and users. AI-assisted form layout and SQL generation add guidance to common design and query tasks.
Pricing is accessible for smaller teams. The Free cloud plan costs $0 per month and includes unlimited users, forms, sheets, and reports, with a 1,000-record limit. Business costs $5 per user per month, adds priority support, allows 100,000 records to be displayed at a time, and removes the limit on records stored in the database. Self-host Free costs $0 per server, supports 100,000 displayed records and unlimited database records, but limits usage to 10 users. Self-host Business costs $50 per server per month and adds unlimited users and priority support. A 14-day free trial is also available.
Database connectivity is a central strength. Visual DB supports PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, Oracle, SQLite, Neon, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Amazon RDS, and Azure SQL. Cloud SaaS and self-hosted deployment support different operating environments: self-hosting is available on Windows, Linux, and macOS infrastructure, while the applications themselves are web-based. Choose Visual DB when relational data management, permissions, dashboards, APIs, and cost control matter more than native mobile publishing. Teams needing mobile app publishing should consider a different builder.
