Our verdict on Virtual Drummer

Virtual Drummer is UJAM’s series of drum-focused virtual instruments for producers and songwriters making tracks in a DAW on macOS or Windows. Each title combines sampled drum kits with genre-oriented styles, MIDI phrases, presets and mix controls. It is suited to writers who want a starting point for drum parts organized around a style, with the option to edit or export the resulting MIDI rather than relying only on rendered audio.

The workflow centers on arranging and shaping drum material: phrases can be dragged into a DAW as MIDI or sent through direct MIDI output, while multiple audio outputs allow individual mixing of kit elements. Customizable instrument channels, built-in mix presets and master-section controls provide ways to adjust the sound within the instrument.
