Violin2Notes converts recordings of violin, viola, cello and double bass into sheet music using AI transcription. It is designed for string players, students and composers who need to study recordings, create notation or prepare material for further editing. Audio can come from an uploaded file, a YouTube link or a direct recording, and supported audio formats include MP3, WAV, MP4, MIDI and FLAC. The service is available on the web, iOS and Android, with a personal songbook for storing transcriptions.

Its strongest fit is work involving string instruments in mixed recordings. Violin2Notes can separate string-instrument parts when other instruments are present, then display and play back the resulting sheet music. Users can edit scores in the app before exporting them as PDF, MIDI or MusicXML. Those outputs support different next steps: PDF for readable notation, MIDI for digital music workflows and MusicXML for notation exchange. Integrations include MuseScore, Sibelius, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase and GarageBand, giving the product a useful place alongside notation and production software.

The main boundary is its narrow musical focus and transcription length. It supports automatic transcription for violin, viola, cello and double bass, but it does not offer tablature output. Paid full transcriptions support up to 15 minutes at once, which suits many excerpts and study sessions but may require longer recordings to be handled in sections. The freemium model provides free access, while subscription plans are available for expanded use. Choose Violin2Notes when string-part notation, separation and export matter most; choose another tool when you need tablature or transcription centered on instruments outside the violin family.
