Our verdict on Veref Interview
Veref Interview is a browser-native video interview product for recruiting teams that need identity verification and interview-integrity monitoring. Candidates complete a government ID and selfie liveness check before joining, while recruiters can review signals covering deepfakes, voice authenticity, gaze, response latency, transcripts, and virtual cameras. It is aimed at employers in regulated industries and hiring teams operating at scale, particularly when confirming that the person interviewed is the person applying matters as much as the conversation itself.
Pricing is usage-based, with monthly volume tiers priced per interview. The Verified Interview — Up to 100 plan costs $7.50 per interview and includes browser-native interviews, identity verification, deepfake detection, and a live integrity score. Rates fall to $6.50 for 101–500 interviews, $5.50 for 501–2,000, $4.50 for 2,001–10,000, and $4 for 10,001–30,000, with automatic volume discounts. The 30,000+ tier directs buyers to sales. A 14-day pilot is available without a credit card, rather than a conventional free plan.
The product’s standout capability is its evidence trail: recruiters can use active challenges during interviews, review continuous face matching and AI signals, then access session recordings and PDF evidence reports with clips and transcript timestamps. Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and Workday integrations support common recruiting workflows. The trade-off is a narrow scope: Veref Interview supports live interviews only and does not provide asynchronous interviews or scorecards. Choose it when identity and integrity verification are central requirements; choose another product when broader interview modes or structured evaluation tools matter more.
