Vena review
A comprehensive FP&A platform for teams that want collaborative, Excel-led planning.

Vena is a cloud-based financial planning and analysis platform for finance teams and operational departments. Its coverage spans budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, variance analysis, workforce planning and multi-entity financial consolidation. Excel is the primary planning and reporting interface, while workflows, approvals, comments, notifications, permissions and audit trails support collaboration and control. It is best suited to organizations that want structured FP&A without moving away from familiar Microsoft tools.
Pricing is organized into Professional and Complete plans, with monetary pricing requiring contact with Vena. Professional includes the Vena Platform, a Customer Success Manager, Standard Support, a Customer Portal and Vena Copilot. Complete includes everything in Professional, then adds Vena Insights, Premium Support, a Sandbox Environment and Expert Managed Services. That makes the plan difference relevant for teams that need additional analysis, isolated environments or ongoing specialist support.
Integration depth is a major part of the product’s fit. Vena connects with ERP, CRM and HRIS systems, CSV and flat files, and REST API workflows, while Microsoft integrations include Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Teams, Azure and Fabric. Centralized relational and OLAP data models provide a foundation for reporting and consolidation, including intercompany eliminations and multi-currency translation. Choose Vena if Excel compatibility, Microsoft ecosystem alignment and broad FP&A coverage matter most. Consider an alternative if your team wants a non-spreadsheet-first interface or prefers transparent published pricing.
