Velappity review
Cloud EHS software for inspection and compliance teams: offline mobile inspections, incident and near-miss reporting, RAMS, training records and a client portal.

Velappity is cloud-based risk assessment and compliance software for teams that carry out inspections on site. It is made by Fieldimp, a sister brand of Glasgow-based Pulsion Technology; its about page dates it to 2008, says it replaced the older Konformance product and notes a complete rebuild. Office users design custom inspection and risk assessment forms and schedule jobs on the desktop, and inspectors complete them in the iOS or Android app, offline if needed, then sync the results.
For health and safety work, Velappity records incident reports, near misses and observations, with an incidents dashboard across clients and sites. It also covers risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), toolbox talks, COSHH, safety policies and procedures, and training records, and it keeps an audit trail of findings and the actions raised against them. Assets can be given compliance-testing regimes, and non-compliances found on site are tracked through to resolution.
Reports are generated from completed inspections and can be emailed to clients automatically or published on the client portal; custom report layouts are built in Microsoft Word with Velappity's Word plugin. The platform also creates estimates, quotes and invoices, which suits contractors who inspect for several clients.
Pricing is per user in pounds sterling. Bronze is £15 a month billed annually (£18 billed monthly); Silver, at £30 (£36), adds the client portal and planned preventive maintenance; Gold, at £50 (£60), adds custom Word reports, assets and compliance-testing regimes, API access, RAMS, incident reports, toolbox talks, COSHH and training documents. Enterprise is quoted for more than 100 users. A free version allows up to two users with clients and sites, parts and labour, and estimates, quotes and invoices, and a 14-day free trial covers every feature. Data is hosted on Microsoft Azure and encrypted in storage and in transit.
