Udio is an AI music creation service for generating short songs from text prompts, lyrics, styles, and voice references. It is aimed at experimenters who want to shape generated music rather than only produce a one-step result. Users can create vocal songs, blend voice and style references, extend tracks, remix or edit music, and organize results with folders, playlists, favorites, and search filters. Udio is available on the web and through its official iOS app.

The plan structure supports initial exploration before moving into higher-volume creation. The Free plan costs $0 per user per month and includes 10 daily credits, an additional 100-credit monthly limit, and up to three approximately two-minute songs per day. The Standard plan costs $10 per user per month, billed monthly, and provides up to 2,400 credits per month plus audio upload and advanced creation features. The Pro plan costs $30 per user per month, billed monthly, raises the allowance to up to 6,000 credits, and supports creating up to 10 songs at the same time. A seven-day free trial is also available.

Editing depth is Udio’s clearest fit for buyers who want to work inside a generated track. Audio uploads can support extending, remixing, inpainting, sessions, and styling, while section and lyric editing allow more targeted changes. The main constraint is composition length: the documented generation limit is 130 seconds, or about 2.17 minutes, and that figure does not represent an extended multi-clip composition. Udio also states that audio, video, and stem downloads are currently disabled. Choose Udio for iterative song experiments and detailed editing; choose another tool if downloadable files, stem export, longer single generations, or Android access are essential.

  • Where it doesn't
    • Documented generation length is limited to 130 seconds.
    • Audio, video, and stem downloads are currently disabled.
    • There is no Android app; access is through web and iOS.
