Turnella is browser-based workforce planning software for contact centres and other demand-driven operations. It is aimed at small and mid-sized teams that have outgrown spreadsheets but do not need an enterprise WFM implementation. Workflows cover voice, live chat, email, tickets, back office, and 24/7 voice planning, with support for both contact-centre and broader operational demand planning.
Its free early-access plan is the clearest reason to consider it. The planning workflow starts with historical workload data and interval-level demand forecasts using volume, trends, day-of-week patterns, and intraday profiles. Channel-specific models include Erlang C, chat concurrency, and backlog flow. Teams can then create shift templates, compare scheduled agents with required coverage, and plan rosters around availability, time off, contracted hours, roles, rates, and skills. What-if scenarios cover AHT, hiring, and service-level assumptions, while cost-per-contact, FTE, labour cost, and coverage analysis add financial context.
Turnella also fits teams that need to connect planning with an existing service stack. Integrations include Genesys, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Five9, Twilio Flex, and Intercom, alongside ACD, CRM, and ticketing systems. CSV, Excel, and calendar schedule exports support downstream workflows. The product is a strong choice for organisations prioritising forecasting, staffing analysis, and skills-based roster planning without an enterprise implementation. Teams seeking live adherence management or agent self-service should choose a broader workforce management platform instead.
