TrilbyTV review
A capable multisite signage platform, but annual per-screen pricing can limit value.

TrilbyTV is a cloud-based digital signage platform for schools, academy trusts, charities, businesses and local authorities. It helps teams upload media, build playlists, schedule screen-specific content, broadcast announcements and manage signage across multiple sites. Content can be uploaded through a web app or dedicated iPad app, while player applications support web, Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. Its support for PowerPoint, PDF, Google Slides, Word, Publisher, YouTube, RSS, slideshows, videos, online content and social media makes it suited to organisations already working with familiar office and online formats.
Pricing is structured around annual licences. The Per screen plan costs £200 per screen per year and includes 50GB of storage plus the full feature set. Single site costs £1,200 per site per year and includes unlimited screens, 50GB of storage and a single-site licence. Unlimited screen costs £1,800 per site per year and includes unlimited screens, 50GB of storage and the full feature set. A 30-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan. The per-screen option is straightforward for smaller deployments, while site-based plans become more relevant when an organisation operates multiple screens in one location.
The platform’s strongest area is operational control. Playlists, time-based scheduling, player management, shared playlists, announcements, custom permission groups and multisite administration support structured publishing across distributed locations. Automatic local caching enables offline playback for downloaded content, which is useful where connectivity is inconsistent. Polling with QR-code participation adds an interactive option for announcements or engagement. TrilbyTV should suit schools and organisations that need managed signage built around Microsoft and Google content. Organisations seeking a free service or a lower annual entry price should consider alternatives, particularly when they only need a small number of screens.
