Our verdict on Transparent Clock & Weather
Transparent Clock & Weather is an Android app for people who want time and local-weather information on their home screen, with customization beyond a basic clock tile. It offers 15 widget designs in multiple sizes, and lets users adjust skins, icon packs, colours and transparency. Separate locations can be assigned to widgets, which suits people who want different local views on one screen. Its scope is specific: it centers on clock and weather rather than serving as a broad collection of unrelated widget types.
Weather is the deeper part of the package. The companion app includes hourly and up-to-10-day forecasts, weather details, animated radar, an activity planner for outdoor plans, and calendar event display on widgets. Weather sources include Foreca, Met.no, OpenWeatherMap, Open-Meteo and the US National Weather Service. Premium adds severe-weather alerts and additional radar layers, according to the product description. That combination is useful for users who want forecast and radar context alongside a glanceable widget; those who mainly want general-purpose widget building may prefer a broader suite.
The app is free to download and use with ads. The listed Pro option costs $10.99 as a one-time purchase and removes ads; Premium is a separate subscription with prices shown in-app that vary by country. This makes the paid choice depend on whether ad removal alone is enough or whether Premium weather features matter. The app is Android-only, and support channels include email and documentation. Choose it for customizable clock-and-weather widgets with radar and forecast detail; look elsewhere if cross-platform access or a wider mix of widget categories is central to the decision.
