TrackTag Studio analyzes music files in batches and returns structured metadata for organizing and searching catalogs. Composers, producers, music libraries, labels and music supervisors can use it to review details such as BPM, key, genre, mood, emotion, instruments, energy and song structure. It supports local folder indexing as well as uploaded batches, with custom field names and report exports. The workflow focus makes it a fit for teams managing catalogs rather than buyers seeking commercial song scoring.

The free plan includes 20 credits for new accounts, according to the vendor. Paid credit packs are one-time purchases: Starter is $20 for 50 credits, Studio is $89 for 250, Producer is $149 for 1,000, and Professional is $499 for 5,000; credits do not expire. One credit tags one track, while Ultra API analysis consumes two credits per track. Studio Unlimited is available for $49 per month or $41 per month with annual billing, and allows unlimited batches using your own Google Gemini API key. That structure suits occasional or variable workloads better than assuming a recurring credit allowance.

Catalog workflows extend beyond analysis: TrackTag Studio includes CSV and PDF exports, audio format conversion, a REST API with asynchronous jobs, polling and webhooks, and an MCP server for AI agents. Listed integrations include Zapier, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Dropbox, Notion and Airtable, among others. It is offered on web, Windows and macOS, as well as through an API. Choose it when batch tagging, searchable catalog organization and automation matter; look elsewhere if the central requirement is a commercial song score or an analysis workflow that does not depend on credits or a customer-provided Gemini API key for unlimited batches.

TrackTag Studio pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Analyzes BPM, key, genre, mood, instruments, energy and song structure in batches
    • Indexes local folders into a searchable catalog with custom field names
    • Offers CSV/PDF exports, a REST API, MCP server and Zapier integration
  • Where it doesn't
    • Credit packs are one-time purchases, so usage requires tracking credit balances
    • Studio Unlimited requires your own Google Gemini API key
    • Metadata organization is the focus, not commercial song scoring
