TRACE NDT is compliance-tracking software for nondestructive testing consultancies and in-house quality teams. It organizes technician certifications, compliance items, due dates, and supporting documents against standards such as NAS410, SNT-TC-1A, and Nadcap criteria. Its scope extends beyond credential records: teams can manage exams, equipment calibration, and standards-based process checks. The product is a fit for NDT teams that need technician credentials and exams in one system, rather than organizations seeking general-purpose certification tracking.

The portals and exam tools make the product more than a calendar with reminders. Clients can view company compliance status and documents through a client portal, while technicians can access certifications, due dates, documents, and exams through their portal. Exams can be built and administered online or on paper. Equipment calibration tracking and Code Watch—which checks listed standards weekly for revisions—also support quality workflows around credential compliance. Web access is available to consultants, and technicians can access records through the mobile app.

Published plans show a Free tier with a compliance calendar, due-date reminders, and unlimited technicians and certifications. Plus is listed at $8.25 per month with annual billing and adds client portal logins. Pro is listed at $41.58 per month with annual billing; it adds per-consultant portfolio scoping and priority support. Enterprise offers dedicated onboarding and support with custom contract terms. A 30-day free trial is also available. This structure gives small NDT teams a way to start without a subscription and scale into client-facing workflows, though teams needing those logins must move beyond Free. TRACE NDT suits specialized NDT operations; teams outside that field may prefer a broader credential platform.

TRACE NDT pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Tracks certification due dates, reminders, and supporting documents.
    • Offers client and technician portals for compliance records and exams.
    • Code Watch checks listed standards weekly for revisions.
  • Where it doesn't
    • Plus and Pro prices are shown with annual billing, not monthly billing.
    • The Free plan lacks client portal logins, which begin with Plus.
    • Its specialized NDT focus may not fit teams outside nondestructive testing.
