Toucan Fax is an online fax service for individuals and businesses that need to send and receive documents without physical fax equipment. It supports web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android access, with dedicated local or toll-free numbers, inbound fax reception, outbound sending, email-to-fax, and automatic notifications. Its file support includes DOC, DOCX, PDF, JPG, and HEIC formats, and outbound faxes can be sent to up to 50 recipients. The service is suited to organizations that want straightforward faxing with a fixed monthly page allowance rather than a broader communications platform.
Pricing is simple and based on fax volume and number type. The Local Fax Number — 500 Pages plan costs $5 per month, while the 1,000-page and 2,000-page plans cost $10 and $20 per month. Toll-Free Fax Number plans use the same $5, $10, and $20 monthly prices for 500, 1,000, and 2,000 pages. Every plan includes a dedicated number, inbound or outbound faxing, unlimited fax storage, and instant activation. A 7-day free trial is available, and number porting adds continuity for organizations moving an existing fax number.
Toucan Fax’s strongest fit is basic, recurring fax traffic where storage, notifications, contact saving, and mobile access matter more than integrations. Inbound faxes can generate PDF email notifications, while outbound international coverage is limited to the United States and Canada; inbound faxes can come from any country. The service also lists a HIPAA compliance level. Choose Toucan Fax for affordable monthly allowances and dedicated numbers. Organizations needing integrations or broader international outbound faxing should choose an alternative.
