Topline is Abbey Road Studios’ mobile multitrack recording app for singers and songwriters. It is designed for capturing song ideas, building quick demos and working over imported tracks on iOS or Android. Users can record layered audio parts, add lyrics and other text, attach photos, apply project tags and search by map-based location. The free model makes it suited to songwriters who want a mobile-first way to preserve and develop ideas without a paid tier structure.
Its strongest area is mobile demo recording. Topline combines multitrack audio recording with audio import, reverb and mixer controls, giving users tools for sketching arrangements rather than only recording a single memo.
