Time Boss is parental-control software for families managing children’s activity on Windows computers. It combines controls for computer and internet usage with limits for programs, folders, program groups, websites and games. Parents can block or allow programs and internet sites, apply internet filtering, and review event logs, screenshot logs and usage statistics. Stealth mode and Windows system protection add controls for how the software operates on a managed computer. The product is best suited to households whose main need is managing Windows PCs rather than coordinating a broad mix of devices.
Pricing is based on one-time licenses rather than recurring billing. The Time Boss plan costs $44.95 per license and covers up to 3 home PCs. Time Boss Pro costs $59.95 per license, also covers up to 3 home PCs, and adds the Network edition plus remote control from a PC or Android mobile through Time Boss Cloud. Time Boss for Android costs $9.49 per license for one device. A 30-day trial gives families time to assess the Windows software before purchasing. Android coverage is handled as a separate product and license, so households planning to manage both Windows and Android should account for that structure.
The main trade-off is focus. Time Boss provides a broad set of Windows controls, including scheduled screen-time limits, app and website blocking, filtering, reporting and screenshots, but its platform coverage is narrower than tools designed for multi-platform family management. It also does not provide location tracking. Windows-focused families that want a one-time purchase and detailed computer activity records should consider Time Boss, with Pro fitting households that need remote administration. Families prioritizing location features or wider device coverage should choose an alternative built around those needs instead.
