The Policy Platform is a web-based advocacy platform for Australian charities, not-for-profits and social enterprises. It brings readiness assessment, decision-maker identification, policy landscape analysis, media monitoring, strategy building, contact management, outreach drafting and campaign planning into one workspace. The Free plan is suited to solo advocates and includes the Government Readiness Tool, Find Your Decision-Makers and Media Monitor search. Teams focused on developing an advocacy approach, rather than only sending actions, are the clearest fit.

Its plan structure expands from individual planning into team-oriented advocacy work. Advocate adds Media Monitor response drafting, weekly email alerts, unlimited policy analysis and an Advocacy Strategy and Strategic Plan builder. Pro adds campaign planning, writing and analytics, team contact relationship management, AI response drafting for government and media outreach, team collaboration and branded exports. Partner includes everything in Pro, plus up to 3 hours monthly with the advocacy team, platform configuration and advocacy strategy support, and team coaching. The published plans show a freemium model, with annual billing prices displayed as weekly equivalents.

The strongest case for choosing The Policy Platform is its breadth across advocacy preparation: organisations can assess readiness, map decision-makers, follow policy and media activity, shape strategy, draft responses and coordinate campaigns. Its contact management, collaboration and branded exports make the higher tiers more suitable for teams than the Free plan. It is less suited to organisations looking primarily for action-delivery tools or a broader integration ecosystem. Choose it when planning, research, drafting and relationship management are central to advocacy work; consider an alternative when execution channels are the main requirement.

  • Where it doesn't
    • Its strongest capabilities center on planning rather than execution
    • The platform is web-only
    • Paid plan pricing is presented as weekly equivalents for annual billing
