Thaxas PDF Summarizer is a web-based AI study tool for students processing research papers, textbook chapters, scanned documents, lecture slides, recordings, and web articles. It produces structured summaries that cover claims, supporting evidence, dependencies, and caveats, while adding citations to source pages or audio timestamps. Students can also focus a summary on a specific section or theme, generate quizzes from source material, and export study guides to PDF.
Its feature depth is strongest for study workflows that require traceability. Thaxas accepts PDFs, including scanned textbook chapters, summarizes web pages and articles added by URL, and transcribes and summarizes uploaded audio and video lectures with timestamps. The combination of page-cited sections, focused summaries, quizzes, and PDF exports gives students several ways to move from source material to revision resources. Shared folders are included for study groups, alongside unlimited spaces and uploads in both published plans.
According to the vendor's pricing page, Thaxas is paid-only, with no free plan or free trial. The Monthly plan costs $12 per month and includes all features, eight tools, unlimited spaces and uploads, and shared folders for study groups. The Annual plan costs $8 per month with annual billing and includes the same features. The official page states a 50MB per-file limit. Thaxas is a good fit for students who prioritize cited PDF summaries and study-guide creation across documents, web pages, and lectures. Students seeking a free option, non-web access, or support for files above 50MB should choose an alternative.
