Textiaa Citation Generator is a browser-based tool for students, researchers, and academic writers who need formatted references from titles, authors, DOIs, URLs, keywords, or manually entered metadata. It generates bibliographies and both parenthetical and narrative in-text citations. The service is available through the web and a Chrome extension, with six styles: APA 7th, MLA 9th, Harvard, Chicago 17th, IEEE, and Vancouver.

The published plans show a freemium structure. Free includes five citation generations per month, 300 words per month, AI detection, plagiarism detection, and 20 AI conversations. Pro costs €12 per month and adds unlimited citation generation, 50,000 words per month, one academic project, up to 50 pages per project, citation history, and 100 AI conversations. Academic costs €22 per month and raises the allowance to 100,000 words, supports two academic projects, offers unlimited pages depending on sections, and adds PDF, LaTeX, and Word exports. Both paid plans include unlimited citation generation.

Textiaa’s strongest fit is for writers who want several ways to locate sources and move citations into common writing environments. DOI searches can retrieve metadata through CrossRef, while saved history and one-click copying support recurring reference work. Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and LaTeX integrations broaden its document fit; the Academic plan also supports Zotero, Mendeley, and Overleaf bibliographies. Users needing only occasional references may find the Free limits sufficient. Writers handling longer projects, exports, or reference-manager workflows should choose Academic, while users seeking a citation tool without word, project, or monthly-generation limits should look beyond the Free plan.
