Tencent Hunyuan API provides cloud access to Tencent’s Hunyuan model family through API and web platforms. It targets mid-market and enterprise teams building dialogue, text-generation, analysis, customer-service, marketing, role-play, coding, data-analysis and content-analysis workflows. The catalog covers language, image, video, 3D and speech-recognition families, making it suitable for organizations that want several AI modalities from one Tencent Cloud offering.
Pricing is usage-based, with the published plans charging for output tokens. Hunyuan-a13b costs CNY 2 per 1 million tokens; Hunyuan-role-latest costs CNY 9.6; Hunyuan-translation costs CNY 3.6; and Hunyuan-translation-lite costs CNY 3. Tencent HY Vision 1.5 Instruct, Hunyuan-turbos-vision, Hunyuan-t1-vision and Hunyuan-turbos-vision-video each cost CNY 9 per 1 million output tokens. There is no free plan. Buyers should match model selection to workload requirements and estimate spend by expected output volume.
Its strongest differentiator is breadth: interfaces include chat completions, multi-turn dialogue, image-question understanding, text-to-image generation, vector embeddings, translation with terminology management, file-based conversations and token counting. Video, 3D and speech-recognition families extend the available scope beyond text and images. Tencent says Hunyuan capabilities are being migrated to TokenHub, while the legacy platform receives neither new model capabilities nor new model-service purchases. Teams wanting a wide Tencent model portfolio should consider it; projects requiring an actively expanding legacy endpoint should look to the TokenHub direction instead.
