Our verdict on Telcomia
Telcomia sells prepaid eSIM data plans for travelers visiting Japan. Its listed Japan bundles suit budget-conscious visitors who want a defined amount of data for a short stay, with options from 1 GB for 3 or 7 days to 5 GB for 3 days. The vendor also describes Japan plans with fixed or unlimited data and validity periods from one to 30 days. Purchases are one-time, and the eSIM is delivered as a QR code by email for installation on a compatible, unlocked device. Telcomia is a fit for travelers comfortable arranging mobile data digitally; it is less suited to anyone whose device cannot use eSIMs.
The displayed plan prices start at EUR 2.40 for 1 GB, with 1 GB / 7 days also priced at EUR 2.40. Other listed choices include 2 GB / 15 days for EUR 3.20, 3 GB bundles from EUR 2.50 to EUR 3.60 across 3-, 7-, 15- and 30-day validity, and 5 GB / 3 days for EUR 3.60. This spread lets a traveler choose a validity window without committing to a recurring plan. Since these are fixed allowances, buyers should match the bundle to their expected use rather than assume unused data rolls forward; no rollover terms are stated here.
QR delivery and an account dashboard provide a straightforward path to retrieve and install the eSIM, and the dashboard also supports purchasing additional data plans. The vendor says Japan plans connect through multiple local operators, naming NTT Docomo, Rakuten Mobile, KDDI (au) and SoftBank. Travel safety information and emergency resources are also listed. Support is described as 24/7 multilingual, with email and WeChat identified on the contact page. Choose Telcomia if a low-cost, prepaid Japan bundle and self-service QR installation match your trip. Consider another option if you need a physical SIM or a device that is not compatible with eSIM.
