Tekla PowerFab review
Connects estimating, production, inventory and shop-floor information for metal fabricators.

Tekla PowerFab is Trimble’s cloud-based fabrication management software for steel and other metal fabricators. It connects estimating and quoting with project management, production scheduling, inventory, drawing management, and shop-floor information sharing. The intended audience is fabrication companies coordinating work from bid through fabrication and delivery, with office and shop personnel working from shared information. It is available on the web and is positioned for small, mid-market, and enterprise companies.
The product’s breadth is useful when a fabricator wants job coordination and shop operations in a shared system rather than separate tools for estimates, production, and inventory. Drawing and document management and shop-floor information sharing extend that workflow beyond project administration. Tekla PowerFab also integrates with Tekla Structures and Trimble Connect, making it a more natural fit for organizations already working in those Tekla and Trimble workflows. Buyers outside that ecosystem should weigh the value of these connections against their existing tools and processes.
Tekla does not publish plan prices on the product page; prospective customers are directed to contact Trimble or Tekla. That makes a sales conversation part of evaluating cost and fit, rather than allowing a direct comparison from public plan tiers. Choose Tekla PowerFab if your team needs connected estimating, production, inventory, and shop-floor coordination and uses Tekla or Trimble workflows. If you need only a narrow function or prefer to select software through transparent public plan pricing, this may be more system and sales evaluation than you need.
