TaxTron is Canadian tax preparation software for individuals, families, corporations, and professional tax practitioners. It covers T1 personal and T2 corporate returns across web, Windows, and macOS products, with federal and provincial forms, self-employment and rental income support, diagnostics, electronic filing, ReFILE, and prior-year carry-forward. Its fit is strongest for Canadian filers who need more than a basic personal return or who handle both individual and corporate tax work.

The plan structure spans free, individual, family, corporate, and professional use. T1 Free covers qualifying returns and qualifying full-time students. T1 Single License supports up to 20 returns, Québec TP1, self-employment, rental income, and ReFILE, while T1 Family License provides family tax filing through the Windows desktop product. T2 Corporate Single License supports one corporate return per year, with federal and Alberta returns, GIFI import, and corporate electronic filing. T2 Corporate Web is listed at CAD 129.99 one-time per tax year and adds web-based filing, GIFI forms, a secure online account, and CRA electronic filing. T1 Professional for Mac supports unlimited T1 returns, professional EFILE, CRA autofill, and ReFILE.

Its strongest functional advantage is coverage across filing types and workflows. CRA autofill connects with the Canada Revenue Agency, Revenu Québec is supported for Québec TP1, and GIFI import supports accounting software workflows for corporate returns. NETFILE, EFILE, and corporate electronic filing give it several submission paths, while built-in error detection helps identify issues before filing. The main boundary is corporate Québec coverage: Québec CO-17 returns are not supported. Choose TaxTron for Canadian personal, family, corporate, or professional filing across multiple platforms; choose another product if Québec CO-17 preparation is essential.
