TaxOwl Pro Business is a seasonal add-on for TaxOwl Pro, aimed at independent tax preparers and small practices filing business returns. It covers C-corporation and S-corporation returns through Forms 1120 and 1120-S, partnership returns through Form 1065 with K-1 support, estate and trust returns through Form 1041 with K-1 support, and nonprofit returns through Forms 990, 990-EZ, and 990-N. Federal and state e-filing are supported through the cloud-based web platform.

Pricing is straightforward but depends on the base product. The Business Tier Add-on costs $299 per season and requires an active TaxOwl Pro license; it is not sold as a standalone product. That tier adds business returns, depreciation and fixed-asset tracking, multi-state business filings without a per-state surcharge, entity-specific diagnostics, and client-portal features. The broader Pro tier also provides OCR document import and remote e-signature. The vendor’s current site identifies the first active filing season as the 2027 tax season.

Its main strength is breadth across common business entities and return types, particularly for practices handling corporations, partnerships, fiduciary returns, and nonprofits in one workflow. Multi-state filing without a per-state surcharge can also make the seasonal structure easier to evaluate for firms with clients in several states. The tradeoffs are the required TaxOwl Pro license, web-only access, and limited ecosystem fit because integrations are not part of the listed feature set. Choose it if your practice needs broad entity coverage and TaxOwl Pro already fits your process; consider another option if you need standalone business software or a deeper integration ecosystem.
