TaxBuddie brings shifts, earnings, mileage, expenses, receipts and business documents into one record-keeping app for UK delivery riders, couriers, taxi and private-hire drivers, tradespeople and other self-employed workers. It is aimed at solo workers and small operations that want work and expense records together, rather than a tool to file taxes for them. The app runs on web, iOS and Android, and supports cloud and mobile deployment.

Its free plan covers unlimited live shifts and mileage, three standard expense records, five Smart Receipt Scans per month, a basic dashboard and CSV reports. Pro costs £3.99 per month, with a 14-day trial described by the vendor. It adds unlimited and recurring expense records, 30 monthly receipt scans, advanced reports, tax forecasts and supported platform statement imports. That makes Free a fit for basic logging, while workers who need more expense records or scans may find Pro more suitable. The pricing page presents the paid tier as a monthly plan.

Mileage can be logged by GPS during active shifts, by odometer or manually. Receipt attachments, scanning, bank CSV review and matching to existing expenses help consolidate records, and reports can be exported as CSV or PDF. However, categorization is manual and bank statements are reviewed through CSV rather than automatic bank connections. TaxBuddie also does not submit tax returns or MTD updates to HMRC. Choose it for shift-linked records and mileage tracking; workers seeking automatic bank syncing or direct tax submission should look elsewhere.
