Tappya Accounting is the accounting module in Tappya’s connected restaurant platform, aimed at independent restaurants, multi-branch operators, finance teams, and larger restaurant groups. It maintains a real-time double-entry general ledger, with automatic posting from orders, payments, inventory, purchasing, and payroll. The fit is strongest for operators already running those activities through Tappya: the accounting draws on restaurant operations rather than standing apart as a general-purpose bookkeeping product.

The plan structure makes the accounting threshold important. Solo is free and includes POS and kitchen display, stock tracking, and basic reports, but it does not include accounting. Accounting appears in Advanced, priced at $83 per branch monthly or $990 per branch annually; Essentials costs $41 monthly or $490 annually but focuses on operations such as online ordering, reservations, and stock transfers. Premium costs $166 monthly or $1,990 annually and adds a supplier portal, AI reporting, dedicated support, and every module unlocked. The pricing page displays USD amounts and notes that prices are shown in local currency by region. For a buyer seeking only accounting, the free entry point is not an accounting plan, and the paid entry for the module is Advanced.

The strongest reason to consider it is the operational link: connected Tappya modules feed accounting, while recipe-based food costing, ingredient deductions, waste tracking, and multi-warehouse inventory extend financial visibility into restaurant costs. Multi-entity and multi-location accounting, AP/AR aging, asset depreciation, tax codes, recurring bills, treasury management, and standard financial statements cover a broad finance workflow. Reports include trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet, aged AR/AP, and tax reports. Choose Tappya if those capabilities and the connected restaurant stack match your operations; consider a standalone accounting product if you need accounting independent of Tappya’s POS and operational modules.

  • Where it doesn't
