Our verdict on TalkType

TalkType is speech-to-text software for neurodivergent students, professionals, and accessibility-focused organisations. It provides real-time dictation into desktop applications, browser text fields, and a built-in document editor. Automatic punctuation, voice commands for editing and navigation, custom vocabulary, and background-noise reduction support users who want more control than basic transcription. The product runs on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and the web, making it suitable for individuals and teams working across different devices.

The published plans show a paid structure with a 14-day trial and no free plan. Individual includes unlimited dictation, unlimited AI credits, Dictate Anywhere, auto-punctuation, a custom personal dictionary, and unlimited custom shortcuts. Teams adds centralised billing, single sign-on, user management, and a Dedicated Customer Success Manager. Enterprise retains those team controls and adds personalised information security support. This progression makes the product easier to evaluate for an individual, while larger organisations gain administrative and security-oriented features as they move up the plan structure.
