Our verdict on Tactical RMM

Tactical RMM is a source-available remote monitoring and management platform for IT professionals and managed service providers. It brings endpoint monitoring and alerting, remote command and script execution, remote desktop control, file access, software and hardware inventory, scheduled automation, role-based permissions, and reporting into one system. Agents support Windows, Linux, and macOS, while managed environments can be organized by clients, sites, and agents. It is suited to teams that want control over deployment and administration rather than a narrowly focused remote-access tool.

Pricing is structured around self-hosted and hosted options. The core self-hosted software has a free plan. Paid Tier 1 Starter costs $55 per month or $600 per year for self-hosting, and $65 per month or $715 per year when hosted. Tier 2 Essentials costs $80 per month or $900 per year for self-hosting, while the hosted annual option is $880 and the monthly option is $80. Paid tiers include community support, unlimited technicians, code signing, and single sign-on. Tier 1 covers 0–199 endpoints for self-hosted deployments and 0–100 for hosted deployments.
