TabApp review
A free browser app for precise, multi-currency bill splitting and settling.

TabApp is a browser-based bill-splitting and settling-up app for dinners, trips, recurring groups and shared tabs. People can scan a receipt or enter items manually, then share a link so participants claim what they owe without installing an app or creating an account. It suits friends and small groups that need detailed allocation rather than a simple equal split, especially when bills span currencies or several payment methods.
The product is free during beta, with no paid plans. Its strongest capability is granular allocation: users can split by item, shares, units, percentage or fixed amount, while service charges, tax and tip are allocated proportionally. Tabs can combine multiple bills into one running balance, track debts and confirm payments. Multi-currency bills retain locked exchange rates, which helps keep a shared tab consistent after entries are added. Receipt scanning can reduce manual entry, while manual input remains available when scans need adjustment.
TabApp runs as a cloud web app and supports shareable guest links, so participants can join from a browser. Settlement options include Monzo, PayPal, Revolut, Starling, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PIX, bank transfer and cash. Browser installation can queue changes offline, but offline support is described as unfinished and not reliable yet. Choose TabApp if you want item-level control, varied split rules and broad payment-method coverage without requiring accounts. Consider an alternative if your group needs a native mobile experience, dependable offline operation or paid plans with differentiated service levels.
