Sygnum Custody is a regulated digital-asset custody service for private, corporate and institutional clients, with a stated fit for mid-market and enterprise organizations. It combines custody with a banking environment, including trading, staking, deposits and withdrawals to external wallets. The service is available through web and API, and Sygnum states it supports more than 70 digital assets. Its focus is institutions that want custody alongside connected digital-asset services rather than a standalone storage product.

Security and governance are central to the offering. Transaction signing uses Multi-Party Computation, while keys are protected by FIPS 140-2 Level 3 hardware security modules. Assets are held off balance sheet in a ring-fenced structure, with deep cold storage and an air-gapped key environment available. Multi-person transaction approvals add an operational control, and crypto-AML transaction screening is included. The product is cloud deployed and lists two-factor authentication as a compliance-related feature. These controls make it relevant to organizations prioritizing managed custody and governed transaction processes; buyers seeking self-hosted infrastructure should look elsewhere.

Sygnum connects custody to its own trading, staking, e-banking and Sygnum Protect services. Pricing is based on assets under custody, with published bands for up to CHF 500K, CHF 500K to 5M, and above CHF 5M; fees are expressed as a percentage of assets per annum and billed quarterly. There is no free plan. Support channels include email, phone and documentation, but 24/7 support is not offered. Institutions that want bank-linked services and integrated transaction workflows may find the model a fit, while buyers looking for subscription pricing or around-the-clock support should compare alternatives.
