SteelSeries QuickSet review
A free Windows tool for switching compatible SteelSeries device settings by game.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
SteelSeries QuickSet is a free Windows feature within SteelSeries GG for PC gamers using compatible SteelSeries keyboards, mice, and headsets. It scans or searches for games in a Library, assigns device profiles, and applies those profiles when games launch. A profile can store keyboard and mouse settings, keybinds, macros, lighting, DPI, and audio adjustments. QuickSet can also apply custom Sonar audio presets by game, then restore the default setup when the game closes.
The main strength is its focused per-game automation. Instead of changing peripheral settings manually, users can associate configurations with individual games and let QuickSet deploy them at launch. The published feature set supports more than 200 game profiles, covering a broad range of profile-based use cases. This makes it a practical fit for SteelSeries users who switch between games and want their controls, lighting, sensitivity, or audio settings to follow each title.
QuickSet’s scope is narrower than its category name may suggest. It manages SteelSeries device profiles and audio presets rather than adjusting in-game graphics settings. It also requires compatible SteelSeries hardware and runs on Windows 10+. Users already invested in supported SteelSeries gear should find the feature set aligned with per-game device customization; users seeking graphics recommendations, broader hardware compatibility, or a non-Windows option should choose a different type of tool.
