SplitBank is a browser-based expense-sharing app for roommates, couples, trips and friends. Users can create groups or friend-to-friend balances, record expenses, and divide them equally, by exact amounts, percentages, shares or adjustments. It also simplifies debts into fewer payments, helping groups see who owes what without relying on manual calculations.

The published Everything plan costs $0 USD and includes unlimited expenses, groups and friends. There are no paid tiers to compare. The plan combines recurring expenses on weekly, biweekly, monthly or yearly schedules with charts, spending totals, CSV export and comments. Users can enter expenses manually, scan receipts for itemized splitting with tax and tip allocation, or import PDF, CSV and OFX statements. That breadth makes the free plan suitable for ongoing household costs as well as one-off trips and shared events.

Settlement is a central strength: SplitBank can open Venmo, Cash App or PayPal, provide details to copy for Zelle, and record cash payments. Debt simplification and multiple split methods give users control when an equal split does not fit. The trade-offs are its web-only deployment, email-only support channel and currency handling: expenses entered in other currencies convert to USD at the day's rate, while balances remain in a primary currency rather than separate currency ledgers. Pick SplitBank if you want a free browser tool with detailed entry and settlement options; consider an alternative if native mobile access, multi-currency balances or broader support channels are essential.
