SpiraPlan review
Portfolio, delivery, risk, QA, and AI features for software teams managing multiple projects.

SpiraPlan is Inflectra’s platform for managing software delivery across projects, programs, and portfolios. It is designed for software teams that need portfolio dashboards, Gantt schedule views, requirements and release planning, resource allocation, cross-project dependencies, risk monitoring, quality assurance, reporting, and strategic milestones in one environment. The product is available as an Inflectra-hosted cloud service or an on-premise installation, with support for web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, API, and self-hosted deployments.
Pricing uses concurrent-user packs rather than named-user pricing. According to the published monthly cloud plans, Cloud 3 concurrent users costs $224.46 per month, Cloud 5 concurrent users costs $351.56, and Cloud 10 concurrent users costs $702.11. The published plans include unlimited named users, unlimited projects, and unlimited storage. A 30-day free trial is available. This model may suit organizations with many named participants but a controlled number of simultaneous users; teams seeking a free plan or a lower starting price should consider a different product.
Its strongest fit is a software delivery environment that needs both portfolio oversight and quality processes. SpiraPlan includes AI-assisted generation of tests, risks, tasks, and BDD steps, alongside quality assurance and test management. Integrations cover GitHub, GitLab, Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse/Mylyn, Subversion, CVS, VSS, Microsoft Team System, Jenkins, automated testing tools, help desk tools, and xUnit frameworks. The platform’s range is valuable for coordinated software programs, but teams focused only on lightweight task tracking may not need its portfolio, risk, QA, and dependency depth.
