SpeakUp is a cloud-based internal communication and collaboration platform for companies that want a structured place for employee ideas, problems and questions. Employees can submit posts, suggest solutions, vote, comment and provide answers, while managers can approve, amend or deny ideas and solutions. Anonymous posting supports more private contributions, and groups organize discussions around different teams or topics. The product is best suited to organizations seeking an idea and feedback community rather than a dedicated employee survey system.
The pricing structure starts with a free tier for up to 25 users, including posts, votes and comments, groups, anonymous posting, decision making, leaderboard features, points, badges and integrations. The Startup plan costs $39 per month for up to 50 users; Small costs $139 per month for up to 100 users; Medium costs $289 per month for up to 250 users; and Large costs $699 per month for up to 500 users. Annual plans are listed at $399 for Startup, $1,499 for Small and $3,199 for Medium. Paid plans retain the core collaboration features and add larger user limits.
SpeakUp’s strongest fit is its focused workflow for turning employee suggestions into visible decisions. Voting, comments, manager review and Trello integration can connect approved ideas and solutions with follow-through work. Leaderboards, points and badges add a recognition layer to participation. However, its scope is narrower than employee survey software centered on verified pulse surveys, engagement measurement, benchmarking or survey analytics. Choose SpeakUp when the priority is collaborative idea management and internal feedback; choose a survey-focused product when structured measurement and analysis are central requirements.
