Spanstead Works is field-service operations software for U.S. HVAC, plumbing and electrical contractors. It brings customer records, scheduling, dispatch, work orders, estimates, invoices, payments, equipment, fleet, inventory and crew workflows into one system. HVAC businesses get trade-specific work-order fields, service history, recurring services and service contracts, while customers can confirm appointments, view invoices and pay through a portal. Office workflows and customer documents support English and Spanish.

Pricing is straightforward for smaller teams. The Solo plan costs $29 per user per month when billed monthly and includes customers, scheduling, jobs, field workspace, estimates, leads, invoices, payments, expenses, QuickBooks Online sync, a free unlimited customer portal and the Crew mobile app. Essentials costs $99 per month and adds field operations, People Core, recurring services, inventory, equipment, vehicles, QuickBooks, Stripe and Square integrations. Growth costs $229 per month, includes everything in Essentials, adds Advanced HR and more AI, storage, email and routing capacity, with online booking available as an add-on. Enterprise is designed for larger crews and includes Learning & Compliance. A 14-day free trial is advertised, and paid pilot access is presented by invitation.

The product’s strongest fit is a new HVAC business that wants dispatch, technician updates, equipment records, customer communication and accounting synchronization without adopting separate tools. Its Crew app supports offline job workflows, and QR tagging can organize equipment, fleet and inventory records. Integrations also include Twilio SMS, WhatsApp via Twilio and outbound webhooks. The main trade-offs are platform coverage and maturity: the mobile app is listed for Android, and the product’s 2026 founding year gives established HVAC software an advantage for buyers prioritizing a longer operating history. Businesses needing iOS mobile coverage or a more established platform should consider alternatives.

Spanstead Works pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • HVAC-specific work-order fields, service history and equipment records
    • Dispatch, estimates, invoicing, payments and technician mobile workflows
    • QuickBooks Online sync plus customer portal and recurring services
  • Where it doesn't
    • Crew mobile app coverage is limited to Android
    • Founded in 2026, so platform maturity is still developing
    • Enterprise pricing is quoted rather than publicly displayed
