Our verdict on Soundop

Soundop is a Windows desktop audio workstation for recording, waveform and spectral editing, multitrack mixing, mastering, audio restoration, batch processing, and audio analysis. It is aimed at podcasters, musicians, audio engineers, sound designers, voice-over artists, and other audio professionals who need editing and production tools in one application. Its feature set covers unlimited audio and bus tracks, automation, sends, side-chain processing, built-in effects, metadata and cover-art editing, and audio CD burning.

Soundop offers several purchase paths. The Annual Plan is $2.99 per month when billed annually, while the Monthly Plan is $14.99 per month. The One Year License costs $35.90 as a one-time purchase. A Perpetual License + Lifetime Updates option is also available, with lifetime updates included. There is no free plan. A seven-day fully functional trial provides an initial evaluation period, followed by unlimited demo use with muted exports. Buyers should compare the recurring plans with the one-time license based on how long they expect to keep the software.

Its standout strength is the breadth of audio work it handles without narrowing the workflow to simple waveform editing. Noise profile and adaptive noise reduction, audio repair, spectral tools, batch processing, and multitrack mixing support restoration and production tasks, while video import, export, attachment, and timeline synchronization extend it to picture-based work. VST, VST3, and ARA support provide compatibility with third-party plug-in workflows. Soundop suits Windows users who want a wide production toolkit at a low annual entry price; users requiring another operating system or unrestricted free use should choose an alternative.
