Our verdict on Songzap
Songzap is a mobile songwriting and music-production app for songwriters, musicians and MCs developing demos. It combines multitrack recording, beat programming, chord analysis, arrangement editing, mixing and export tools in a workspace designed to be simpler than a full desktop DAW. Its feature set covers recording song ideas, shaping arrangements and adding AI-assisted groove, drum, bass and keys parts on iPhone and iPad, with macOS support also available.
The freemium structure gives the Free plan a useful starting point: four-track audio recording, audio bounce and import, an arrangement editor, AI beats design, a mixer with pan and reverb, plus mix rendering and sharing. A 14-day free trial is also available. Premium adds a four-track loop recorder, Autozap with a chord chart editor, AI bass and pad/keys composers, an advanced mixer, cloud backup and synchronization. Pricing and availability vary by App Store region, so the plan structure matters more than a single universal price.
Songzap fits songwriting workflows that may continue in a desktop DAW.
