Solver is a cloud-based financial planning and analysis platform for midmarket finance and management teams. It brings together budget creation, rolling and driver-based forecasting, scenario comparison, personnel planning, reporting, financial consolidation, workflow, and ERP and business-system integration. The product also supports currency translation and eliminations for multi-company consolidation, while departmental users can enter data through the web. Its Excel-based report and budget-form design experience gives finance teams a familiar way to create planning materials while keeping delivery in the cloud.

Solver uses a contact-sales pricing model rather than published fixed prices, and the available structure is organized by user role. Standard Users receive full functionality for building and running reports, entering data, and managing security, plus Solver Academy and Solver Copilot. Contributor Users can enter budgets and forecasts and view published reports. Viewer Users can view published reports and use the ad-hoc report writer. There is no free plan, so organizations should evaluate the role mix and quote-based commercial model before choosing the product.

Integration breadth is a central part of Solver’s fit. Supported connections include Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage Intacct, Acumatica, Oracle NetSuite, SAP Business One, QuickBooks, Salesforce, and HubSpot. Alongside data integration, Solver offers approval routing with an audit trail, configurable planning templates, anomaly detection, trend analysis, and recommendations through AI-assisted analysis. This combination suits teams that need planning and consolidation in one system across multiple companies and business systems. Teams seeking a fixed public price, non-web access, or broader capabilities for every user role should consider alternatives.
