Solar1 review
A broad solar operations system with guided implementation and quote-based pricing.

Solar1 is an early-access operating platform for solar installers and EPCs that connects customer, project, field, finance, and service workflows. Its scope runs from CRM and lead qualification through site surveys, design handoff, proposals, permitting, interconnection, procurement, crew operations, billing, and post-installation service. Installers that want shared records across project handoffs should find the coverage relevant, particularly when readiness, materials, job costs, PTO, and service history need to remain connected.
The operational depth is the main differentiator. Configurable mobile survey forms capture photos, GPS, and evidence, while structured reports support design handoff. Teams can track permits, AHJ requirements, inspections, and PTO; coordinate crews through a dispatch board and readiness calendar; and give technicians mobile daily jobs. Installation checklists, punch lists, rework tracking, service cases, work orders, dispatch, warranty claims, budgeting, committed costs, billing milestones, and margin analytics extend the system beyond lead management. The customer portal adds milestone updates and document requests. OpenSolar and Aurora integrations support design-tool connections.
Solar1 uses quote-based pricing, guided implementation, and an assessment-led onboarding process rather than a self-serve product experience. There is no public self-serve trial, so buyers should expect a sales conversation and implementation planning before adoption. That approach may suit installers seeking a coordinated operating system, but it is less suitable for teams wanting immediate, self-directed setup or transparent plan comparison. The platform is also in early access and was founded in 2025, which makes its maturity an important consideration. Choose Solar1 for broad project-to-service control; consider a more established or self-serve option if implementation independence and longer operating history matter more.
