Snappy Checkout is a cloud checkout service for creators and small businesses selling digital or physical products, subscriptions, donations, pre-orders, and pay-what-you-want products. It supports hosted checkout links at snappycheckout.com, embedded buttons, and pop-up checkout for websites. Stripe and PayPal handle payment collection, while Snappy Checkout adds receipts, subscription management, refunds, digital delivery through Dropbox links, sales reports, fraud-event logging, and shipping-label purchasing. Its audience is solo sellers and small businesses that want checkout infrastructure without building every payment and delivery workflow themselves.
Pricing is usage-based rather than tiered. The Pay as you go plan has no sign-up fees and no monthly fees. Snappy Checkout charges 2% or 50¢ per sale, whichever is lower. Stripe or PayPal separately charges 2.9% + 30¢ for card processing, so sellers should account for both charges when estimating transaction costs. This structure can suit businesses with variable sales volume, especially those that prefer to avoid a recurring platform fee. It provides less predictability for sellers comparing fixed monthly software budgets.
The feature set is broad for a small checkout service. Recurring subscriptions include monthly or yearly billing, trials, dunning, cancellation, and reactivation. APIs and payment webhooks support custom workflows, while Zapier connects the service with 300+ web apps. Integrations also include WordPress, WP Webhooks, WishList Member, and Dropbox. The main fit constraints are manual tax calculation and support for eight currencies. Sellers who need automated tax handling or wider currency coverage should choose another checkout product. Snappy Checkout is a practical fit for small digital sellers already working with Stripe or PayPal, but less suitable for businesses requiring broader payment-market coverage or more automated tax operations.
