Smooth Ops brings restaurant back-office tasks such as recipe costing, invoice processing, inventory counts and cash reconciliation into a cloud-based web app. It is aimed at independent restaurants and other food businesses that want to manage these workflows alongside vendor bills, purchase prices and bank-statement review. Its focus is practical cost control: recipe and plate costs include ingredient and packaging costs, while invoice data can update ingredient prices. Operators looking to move these tasks out of spreadsheets may find the combined workflow useful; teams needing broader platform availability should look elsewhere.

Pricing is modular: according to the published plans, each module costs $25 USD per location per month, with Sourcing included alongside Food Cost and Invoices. The Everything plan is $99 USD per location per month and includes all 10 modules, with Sourcing included. A 30-day trial is available without a required card. Modular pricing lets an operator choose specific tools, while the all-module plan may suit restaurants that need the wider set of workflows. Since modules are priced separately on the entry plan, operators should consider how many they need before comparing its cost with Everything.

The feature set connects purchasing and cost review to daily operations. Invoice scanning uses AI line-item extraction from photos and PDFs; inventory counts are organized by shelf area, with par-based reorder lists by vendor. Cash reconciliation spans drawer, safe, Square reports and bank deposits, and the product imports Square sales, cash and inventory data. QuickBooks and Google are also listed integrations. Smooth Ops is a fit for operators who want these controls in a web app and can work with email support. Its web-only availability and modular entry pricing make it less suitable for buyers who need another platform or want a broad set of modules without a higher monthly plan.
