Sloga review
A privacy-focused gaming chat platform with voice, community tools, and no paid tier.

Sloga is a free voice and chat platform for gaming communities and friend groups. It combines low-latency voice with video calls, screen sharing, servers, channels, roles, and permissions. Communities can also use threads, forum channels, calendars, recurring events, a server soundboard, and Discord server-template import. Sloga is available through the web, Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android, making it suitable for groups that want one community space across desktop and mobile platforms.
Its privacy features are a central part of the product. Direct messages and attachments can be end-to-end encrypted, while voice, video, and screen sharing are automatically encrypted in supported native applications. On-device call transcription keeps transcription as a local feature, and streamer mode with OBS detection on desktop addresses broadcasting workflows. These capabilities give privacy-focused communities more control over communication and content-sharing workflows, although encryption coverage depends on the supported native apps rather than applying uniformly across every access method.
Sloga also goes beyond basic voice chat with community organization tools. Channels, roles, permissions, threads, forums, events, and soundboards support groups with different communication styles, while template import can help communities move an existing server structure. The Free plan includes servers, channels, roles, low-latency voice, video, screen sharing, and encrypted calls in supported apps, with no paid tier described. Choose Sloga if free access, privacy-oriented calls, and broad community features matter most. It is a weaker fit for teams requiring iOS access now or a fully open-source desktop application.
