SkyView is a mobile astronomy app from Terminal Eleven LLC for casual stargazers, families, students, and educators. Its augmented-reality camera view identifies stars, constellations, planets, galaxies, and satellites on iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. The app covers all 88 constellations, including zodiac constellations, and adds educational facts and object information for users who want a straightforward way to explore the sky.
SkyView’s strongest fit is offline, camera-based identification. It works without Wi-Fi or a data signal, which suits travel, outdoor observing, and locations with limited connectivity. Sky paths show how an object’s position changes over time, while future and past date/time simulation helps users explore the sky beyond the current moment. Red and green night-mode filters support viewing in darker conditions, and satellite fly-by and sighting information extends the app beyond stars and planets.
