Our verdict on Skill Struck

Skill Struck brings K–12 computer science and AI curriculum together with tools for classroom instruction. Launch Pad serves grades K–5, while Voyage is for grades 6–12; the platform also includes Type Station, Robotics and Chat for Schools. Students work with block and text coding, games, code editors, projects and portfolios. For educators, it provides standards-aligned lesson plans, curriculum management, assessments, progress dashboards and group projects. Schools seeking coding and robotics instruction with visibility into student work are its clearest fit.

The curriculum covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python, with robotics lessons using a micro:bit or emulator. An autograder handles challenges, lessons and projects, which can help teachers track work across activities. Students can also build portfolios and group projects, while guided AI chat and AI literacy courses add a school-oriented AI component. These features make the product more than a coding lesson library, but its verified scope is centered on computer science and AI rather than a broad set of STEM subjects.

Skill Struck is delivered through the web and integrates with Google Classroom, Canvas, Clever, Schoology and ClassLink. The vendor's pricing page directs schools and districts to request a demo rather than listing plan prices. Its site also advertises no-cost K–12 AI literacy courses for a school year and a prospect account trial; these are not an ongoing free plan. Schools that want coding curriculum with classroom tracking, projects and educator management should consider it. Buyers seeking virtual labs or a wider multi-subject STEM platform should look elsewhere.
