Shotfax is a browser-based, pay-per-use fax service for individuals or organizations that need to send occasional documents without opening an account or subscribing. It supports PDF, JPG, and PNG uploads up to 10 MB and sends faxes to the United States, Canada, and supported countries across Europe. The service lists GDPR compliance and is operated by Povilas Konopackas in Lithuania, EU.

Its pricing is straightforward: the Pay per send plan costs $2.99 per fax, with no free plan or recurring subscription described. That fee covers documents up to 20 pages. The plan includes an emailed delivery receipt PDF with a timestamp and page count, automatic retries for busy or dropped calls, and an automatic full refund when delivery fails. JPG and PNG uploads are converted to black-and-white PDF automatically, which keeps the submission flow focused on common document formats.

Shotfax is deliberately narrow rather than a replacement for a full fax inbox. It sends outbound faxes through the web but does not provide inbound faxing, a dedicated fax number, or mobile apps. It also does not offer a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement, making it a poor fit for workflows that require that arrangement. Choose Shotfax for an occasional outbound fax, especially when international sending, delivery evidence, and per-use billing matter. Choose another service for recurring fax operations, inbound documents, mobile access, or HIPAA-covered workflows.
