Shopmonkey is cloud-based management software for automotive repair, tire, quick-lube, heavy-duty, and multi-location businesses. It brings repair-order workflow, estimates, invoices, digital vehicle inspections, customer messaging, parts ordering, inventory, payments, scheduling, and reporting into one system. Shops can assign work to technicians, collect electronic approvals, track parts, and manage operations across locations. Web, iOS, Android, and API access support office, technician, and integration workflows.
Pricing is structured across Basic, Clever, Genius, and Multi-Shop plans. Basic costs $239 per month with monthly billing or $215 per month with annual billing, and includes two-way text and email, unlimited estimates and invoices, digital vehicle inspections, integrated payments, parts lookup and ordering, and mobile apps. Clever costs $399 monthly or $359 per month with annual billing and is positioned for growing shops. Genius costs $499 monthly or $449 per month with annual billing and is described as the full shop management package. Multi-Shop supports multi-location operations, standardized operations across shops, and performance tracking across every shop. The paid-only structure fits established businesses budgeting for a broad operating system rather than a free or entry-level tool.
Its strongest fit is for shops that need more than work-order tracking. Digital inspections support templates, photos, videos, notes, and inspection history, while reporting covers sales, profitability, technicians, payments, inspections, and purchase orders. Parts ordering connects with PartsTech, Nexpart, and RepairLink, and the broader ecosystem includes QuickBooks Online, CARFAX, ALLDATA, webhooks, and the Shopmonkey API. Two-way SMS and email, online scheduling, reminders, online and in-person payments, and buy-now-pay-later options extend the workflow beyond the repair order. Choose Shopmonkey when operational breadth and reporting justify a paid subscription; shops seeking a lower-cost or narrower system should look elsewhere.
