ShipStation is web-based shipping and fulfillment software for ecommerce startups, growing businesses, and larger enterprises. It brings online stores, marketplaces, carriers, and fulfillment services into one workspace, with tools for order import, rate comparison, label printing, tracking, returns, address verification, and international documentation. Its fit is strongest for established multichannel teams that need shipping operations across platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Walmart, and TikTok Shop.

The published plans show a paid model with a 30-day trial and a starting price of 14.99. Starter includes 50 shipments per month, 3 users, unlimited store connections, automated rate shopping, return labels, and basic automations. Standard keeps the 50-shipment allowance, raises access to 10 users, and adds unlimited automations, returns and exchanges, basic warehouse management, and a shipping API. Premium supports 15 users and adds advanced inventory management, advanced warehouse management, custom analytics, and auto-routing. This structure gives smaller teams a starting workflow while reserving deeper operational controls for the top tier.

ShipStation’s main strength is breadth. Teams can print single-order or batch labels, apply automation rules and bulk actions, send tracking notifications, manage RMAs and branded returns, and connect through shipping, tracking, checkout, and analytics APIs. Web, Windows, macOS, and API access support different operating environments. The tradeoff is that the product may be more than a narrow shipping workflow requires, while every listed plan includes the same 50 shipments per month. Teams needing advanced inventory or warehouse capabilities should consider Premium; teams seeking a simple, lower-volume tool may prefer a narrower option.
