Shindig is a browser-based virtual and hybrid event platform for organizers running conferences, webinars, lectures, seminars, interviews, media events, and community gatherings. Its strongest fit is small social events where private video conversations matter as much as presentations. Organizers can combine a virtual lobby, multi-session event directory, exhibitor booths, VIP suites, moderated stage access, open podiums, polling, text chat, screen sharing, and backstage speaker preparation.

The free plan supports up to 100 participants per event, unlimited events lasting up to 40 minutes, four speakers on stage, private video chat, a customizable entry page, and media sharing. Starter costs $99 per month and keeps the 100-participant limit while extending events to three hours, increasing the stage limit to six speakers, and adding recording, social-media livestreaming, and custom entry fields. The $750-per-month Introductory plan adds 10 admin seats, multi-session and hybrid event support, Breakouts Plus, single sign-on, and API integration. Advanced adds unlimited admin seats, up to 2,000 participants per event, 10,000+ Shindig Live viewers, advanced production, monetization, and customization capabilities.

Networking is the defining strength. Private group video chat, virtual event spaces, VIP areas, audience participation, and backstage communication give organizers more interaction options than a presentation-only webinar tool. Ticketing, guest lists, analytics, data collection, Stripe, PayPal, Zapier, Facebook Live, YouTube Live, RTMP, single sign-on, and API access also support registration, payments, distribution, and follow-up workflows. Choose Shindig when interactive networking and varied participation formats are central. Choose another platform if your events consistently exceed the lower-tier participant limit or require a simpler, narrower webinar experience.
