SecureShredder is a Windows data-erasure utility for individuals, small businesses, and some medium businesses. It can delete individual files, shred folders and subfolders, erase entire drives, and overwrite unused disk space. Its storage coverage includes internal and external drives, USB flash drives, and SD cards, while support for disks larger than 4 TB extends its usefulness to larger storage devices. A free download is available at a one-time price of $0 USD.

The feature set covers both focused and broad erasure tasks. Users can apply pseudorandom-data overwriting or use a three-pass method aligned with the DoD 5220.22-M standard. SecureShredder can also erase multiple drives in parallel, which suits workflows involving several connected devices. The combination of file, folder, drive, and free-space shredding gives it a wider erasure scope than a tool limited to deleting selected files.

License options separate individual and business use. The Standard License allows one installation and is intended for individuals and small businesses. The Business License allows three installations and is intended for small or medium businesses. SecureShredder is limited to Windows, so organizations working across macOS or Linux will need a different tool for those systems. The product page currently displays the software as out of stock, which may affect immediate purchase decisions. Choose SecureShredder if free Windows-based erasure across files, drives, and removable media is the priority; choose an alternative if cross-platform coverage or broader availability matters more.
