Screenable is a parental-control and screen-time management app for families using iPhones and iPads. Parents install the parent app, sync children’s devices, select preset modes, and manage settings remotely. The free utility includes Dumb Phone and Screen Trainer modes, daily and app-specific limits, schedules, always-allowed apps, content filtering, device restrictions, notifications, weekly reports, guided setup, and parental advice. Unlimited kids and devices make it suitable for households managing more than one child or device.
Its standout strength is the range of controls in a free setup utility. Parents can restrict browsers, the App Store, the camera, and apps; filter adult and inappropriate content; set daily limits; and apply one-tap focus controls. Dumb Phone mode can simplify an iPhone into a calling and messaging device, while Screen Trainer supports a gradual approach to independent screen-time habits. Remote device-management updates, real-time notifications, and weekly reports add ongoing visibility beyond one-time blocking.
Screenable also fits families that already use connected services. It works with Apple Screen Time API and Apple Find My, and integrates with Bark, Life360, Qustodio, Aura/Circle, Net Nanny, and FamilyTime. Location sharing is provided through Apple Find My rather than as a standalone location system. The main tradeoff is its iOS-only scope, which narrows its fit for households managing devices beyond iPhone and iPad. Choose Screenable for a free, guided utility centered on Apple devices and connected services; choose an alternative when cross-platform coverage is the priority.
